Tamrat and Mulu’s Story
In April of 2025, Kula signed Tamrat Adamassu to be the Senior International Diplomatic Representative for Kula. The former Prime Minister of Ethiopia has a radical story—achieving rule over his country, losing control to his power-hungry friend, surviving 12 years in prison, radically meeting and giving his life to Jesus, and so much more.
I had the opportunity to not only meet Tamrat, but to capture this life-changing story. Honestly, he is one of the easiest people I have ever had the privilege of interviewing. Once he moved to the US to reconnect with his family, he started sharing his story in churches around the world. Telling his story came easy to him.
After I sat down with him and asked, “What is your name and what is your story?” he was off. An hour and a half later, that was it.
As I sat and listened, capturing his every word, I knew I had to get his wife, Mulu, to share her perspective. She was in the room next door, and I asked if she’d be willing to share her testimony on camera as well. After getting all the cameras ready and rolling, I spent time hearing her point of view—meeting Tamrat, taking over the country together, and dealing with all that followed.
I still can’t believe that I got to meet these two incredibly faithful people. Their story changed me, and I hope it can change yours too.
